Manish Marwah is a principal research scientist in a research group (recently spun out of Hewlett Packard Labs) at Micro Focus. His main research interests are in the broad areas of data science and applied machine learning, especially in the context of cyber-physical systems, and applications to cyber-security. He has initiated and led research on designing data mining methods for sustainability and energy management of smart buildings and data centers. Recently, he has been working on large-scale analytics and its applications to IoT and security domains. His research has led to over 60 refereed papers, several of which have won awards, including at AAAI, KDD, and IGCC. He has twice co-organized the workshop - Data Mining for Sustainability (SustKDD) at KDD. He has been granted 40 patents (with several pending). Manish received a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Colorado, Boulder, and a B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi.
